P. and V. φθείρειν, διαφθείρειν, καταφθείρειν (Plat. but rare P.), πολλναι, διολλναι, ἐξολλναι, καθαιρεῖν, ναιρεῖν, ναλίσκειν, ναλοῦν, ἐξαναλίσκειν, κατεργάζεσθαι, ποφθείρειν (Thuc. but rare P.), V. ὀλλναι, ἐξαπολλναι, ἀϊστοῦν, στοῦν, ἐξαϊστοῦν, ἐξαποφθείρειν, καταφθσαι (1st aor. of καταφθίνειν), ποφθσαι (1st aor. of ἀποφθίνειν), πέρθειν, διεργάζεσθαι, ἐξεργάζεσθαι, διαπράσσειν, ἐκπράσσειν, P. διαχρῆσθαι; see kill, ravage, corrupt, ruin, annihilate.
Destroy beforehand: P. προδιαφθείρειν.
Be destroyed beforehand: P. προαπόλλυσθαι.
Destroy inaddition: P. and V. προσδιαφθείρειν.
Destroy in return: P. and V. ἀνταπολλναι.
Destroy together: V. συνδιολλναι (Eur., frag.).
Help to destroy: P. συγκαθαιρεῖν (acc.), συναπολλύναι (acc.).
